南韓MERS確診，今天又新增8例，感染總人數來到162人，死亡人數累積19人。目前南韓對MERＳ患者，採取注射「康復者血漿」的實驗性療法，疫情有控制跡象。
大劇院仔細消毒，工作人員在座椅上一一噴灑消毒水，許多人進出的網咖也徹底檢查，鍵盤也小心擦拭，以防MERS病毒擴散，為了防堵疫情，南韓全國上下不敢大意，南韓保健福祉部表示，目前有兩家醫院採取對MERS患者注射痊癒者血漿的試驗性療法，福祉部長也表示，注射血漿在治療SARS重症患者上，可以讓死亡率降低23%，首爾民眾：「我有事要去醫院，但拖了幾天都不敢去，因為MERS的關係，所以滿不安的。」
世界衛生組織WHO表示，南韓MERS疫情，目前只在醫院內傳播，並未出現人傳人和社區傳播的狀況，病毒也和中東發現的一樣，沒有變種，不過在死亡病例當中，其中有4人在感染MERS前，並沒有慢性病，或呼吸道症狀等基礎疾病，也就是說，病毒並非只對體弱病患造成威脅，而只有一線之隔的北韓也嚴加防備，根據南韓中央日報，北韓並未報名參加7月在南韓光州舉辦的世界運動大會，就怕MERS傳入北韓境內。
